Thu Thiem II Bridge Project

Thu Thiem 2 Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge which will span the Saigon River, connecting Thu Thiem New Urban Area with District 1 at Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to the improvement of the city’s main transportation system as well as linking transport network between Ho Chi Minh City and Southeast provinces. The total investment of the Project is VND 4.2 trillion. The bridge’s construction began in 2015 and is expected to put into operation in 2021.
Thu Thiem 2 Bridge with a 113 meter-high Dragon-concept tower that arches towards Thu Thiem and will act as a gateway to the Thu Thiem New Urban Area. The Total length is 1,465m, with the main span of 885.7m, including 6 lanes for traffic with pedestrian walkways on both sides.
PetroVietnam Marine Shipyard JSC (PV Shipyard) currently is being in charge of assembling and transporting 17 Segments with a total weight of more than 1,580 tons and 30 Pylon of Thu Thiem II bridge from PV Shipyard to Ho Chi Minh City for installation.
