Load-out and handover of remotely operated the OSV Hull to customer

On the afternoon of November 26th, 2022, at Petrovietnam Marine Shipyard JSC (PV Shipyard), the Load-out ceremony and hand over the hull of the offshore supply vessel took place, the robotic ship will operate offshore, operating from shore and will eventually utilize green ammonia as fuel.

The shipbuilding project started in January 2022 and the keel was laid in March 2022. PV Shipyard has constructed and fabricated the steel structure, piping & the steel outfitting, and started blasting and painting from September 2022. The total weight of the hull is 1228 tons.

The vessel has the following main specifications: Length: 78m; Width: 15m; Side height: 7m; Design depth: 5.3m; Deadweight: 1490 Tons; Number of crew members: 14 people; classed by DNV GL.

With the determination and efforts of the Company’s officers, employees, sub-contractors, the cooperation of the customer & the vessel registry… the hull has been manufactured to ensure quality and to satisfy the customer’s technical requirements and that of the class society.

The customer has highly appreciated the product quality and hopes that these units will continue to be built at PV Shipyard in the future. Participating in manufacturing products that use clean fuels and drive minimalized environmental impact is one of PV Shipyard’s goals for future. The remote control vessel with the transformational low-emission remote operations is in line with the current trend of the maritime industry.
