PetroVietnam Marine Shipyard (PV Shipyard) told the news that at the 7th International Exhibition of Shipbuilding, Maritime & Transport Technology – Vietship 2014, PV Shipyard was awarded “The best offshore vessel” for Tam Dao Jack-up 03 “.
The 90m water-depth jackup – Tam Dao 03 is fabricated by PVShipyard, this is the first jack-up rig Vietnam successfully fabricated, thereby it confirmed the qualifications and capabilities of Vietnamese engineers in the industry requires high levels of intelligence.
The Tam Dao 03 jack-up is a national key mechanical works, was first built in Vietnam by the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) as an investor and PVShipyard – a member of PVN acts as EPC contractor. The 90m water-depth jack-up, with weighth of nearly 12 tons, length of jacket is 145m, operates in water depths up to 90 meters and drilling depths of 6.1 km, can withstand winds equivalent storm level 12 and above to withstand the harsh weather conditions . The Tam Dao 03 is the first 90m water – depth jack-up in Vietnam which was completed 2 months ahead by PV Shipyard, has been completed two months ahead of schedule , certified in compliance with the international standards by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and put into use, operation stably and effectively sine 06-2012 by Vietsovpetro Joint Venture (VSP)
