Successful completion of hull modification project for Scorpion Offshore

PetroVietnam Marine Shipyard (PV Shipyard) has successfully completed the hull modification project for Scorpion Offshore.

Mr. Sidney Ware, Technical System Project Manager from Scorpion Offshore Middle East puts complementary words in his speech in the project celebration: “I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to you and your crews for an exceptional job. This is Scorpion Offshore’s first shipyard project in offhore Vietnam and your team’s performance exceeded expectations. From start to finish you have shown the ingenuity; broaden knowledge as well as your willingness to get the job done in a safe and professional manner. Thoughout the project from material acquisition all the way to final ABS inspection without of the installation, your success was reflected most recently today when there is absolutely no comment from ABS inspector as attending surveyor. PV Shipyard is to be congratulated on a job well done”.

Mr. Phan Tu Giang, Managing Director of PV Shipyard expressed appreciation to the opportunity of working with Scorpion Offshore, that PV Shipyard was very proud to show their great effort to complete the project four days ahead of schedule and to the satisfaction of Scorpion Offshore. Giang emphazised PV Shipyard’s commitment in providing high quality range of offhore repair or conversion services and look forward to partner with Scorpion Offshore in near future.

PVShipyard was established in 2007 and the newly build yard has embarked on the latest facilities and equipment to become the most well equipped rig building yard in Vung Tau Vietnam. Currently under construction at PV Shipyard is a 60 metre Jack-up rig with a Letourneau Super 116-E design.
