Las Vegas – Head of Engineering Department Mr. Phan Thanh Son, on behalf of PV Shipyard, was awarded “Judges’ Choice – Offshore” in the annual Intergraph Golden Valve Award competition to recognize the most innovative and well-executed uses of Smart Marine 3D and SmartPlant software supported by Intergraph Process, Power and Marine (PP&M).
Before that, Mr. Phan Thanh Son and Piping Engineer Lead Mr. Nguyen Thai Son arrived at ARIA Resort Convention Center to make presentation throughout the process that PV Shipyard had undergone from initial access to successful deployment of the software in detailed engineering for 90metre drilling Jack-up rig.
Despite of modest monetary award for the prize, this event officially acknowledged the first successful user in Vietnam among those had ever purchased the software. PV Shipyard engineers have mastered the application software of Smart Marine 3D in rig and marine field in order to prove the strong engineering capability and tacit commitment for the project success.
The Intergraph’s event together with the Smart Marine 3D attracted around 2,000 people from leading engineering and industrial offshore companies all over the world every year as an evidence to show great attention to a prominent tool for complex engineering. Using of product also becomes a certain exposure of users’ proven prestige in their field.
