Main Hull Completion
26 March, 2011
The intensive progress of the 90m jack-up project heats up with series
of big achievement these days under all the eyes in and out of PV
Most considerable is successful completion of main hull consisting of 19
blocks, which plays important role and very center of the rig. The hull
as a water-tight barge will keep the rig floating and transportable on
the water’s surface to the drill site, while allows extension of the
drilling package out over the side of the hull by cantilever system. The
legs are also lowered to the water level or extended throughout the leg
well on the hull.
Other activities that complete to record at a time is assembly of forth
section of starboard and forward leg; living quarter and sub-base
cantilever. The project is so far going forward within schedule upon
utmost care of safety and quality control.
