Petrovietnam’s President, Dinh La Thang as the client representative of 90m jack-up project announced Petrovietnam would appoint PV Shipyard to build a new jack-up to serve the domestic upstream activities, after the site visit and chair the project meeting with PV Shipyard.

Mr. Thang has applauded efforts of the contractor in the actual smooth progress of 90m jack-up, met up with high quality and absolute safety requirements. This is a certain proof of trust of Petrovietnam to the PV Shipyard’s outstanding assets including yard infrastructure, facilities and human intelligence that link and support against each other particularly for rig fabrication.

The first jack-up ordered by Petrovietnam will be loaded down in August 2011. The rig is certified by ABS Classification Society, so far undergone execution of over 3 million working hours LTI.
