A new jack-up contract to come under Petrovietnam’s firm tentative statement

Petrovietnam’s
President, Dinh La Thang as the client representative of 90m jack-up project
announced Petrovietnam would appoint PV Shipyard to build a new jack-up to serve
the domestic upstream activities, after the site visit and chair the project
meeting with PV Shipyard.
Mr. Thang has applauded efforts of the
contractor in the actual smooth progress of 90m jack-up, met up with high
quality and absolute safety requirements. This is a certain proof of trust of
Petrovietnam to the PV Shipyard’s outstanding assets including yard
infrastructure, facilities and human intelligence that link and support against
each other particularly for rig fabrication.
The first jack-up ordered by Petrovietnam will be loaded down in August 2011. The rig is certified by ABS Classification Society, so far undergone execution of over 3 million working hours LTI.
